Last updated: 31 August 2026
Expense Ledger (“we”) is a personal finance app operated from the contact details on our contact page. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account profile: name, email, optional phone, currency, country, and timezone
- Finance records you enter: accounts, transactions, budgets, bills, subscriptions, debts, goals, receipts, and imports
- Sign-in: email and hashed password, or Google account identifiers if you choose Google sign-in
- Device tokens if you enable push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Hashed session tokens so you can stay signed in
We do not collect payment card numbers. Paid plans, if offered, are billed only through Google Play.
How we use it
To run your account, send verification and password-reset emails, show your dashboard, send budget and bill reminders you enable, and improve reliability.
Who we share with
Hosting, email (Google Gmail SMTP), Google Sign-In, and Firebase Cloud Messaging process data needed to provide those services. We do not sell your financial records.
Your controls
- Export your data in the app: Profile → Security & privacy → Export personal data
- Delete your account in the app or follow delete account
- Revoke sessions and disable notifications in the app
- App PIN and biometrics are stored only on your device
Children
Expense Ledger is not directed at children under 13.
